King's Bastion - Ice Skating

The Ice Skating Rink is open from 10am to 11pm every day, Fridays and Saturdays until midnight with short breaks for maintenance. Half hour and one hour sessions are available.  All sessions are supervised by staffs that have been trained by accredited Ice Skating Federation (UK) trainers. Our staffs have also undergone health and safety, First Aid, and Child Protection courses (amongst others).

A maximum number of 50 skaters are allowed on the ice at any given time and children under 7 years require to be accompanied by an adult. These are measures to ensure the safety of users to our facilities. As part of our Summer Sports Programme, coaching schemes will be introduced. One-to-one coaching is now available with approved tutors. The GSLA will be considering improvements and additions to the service provided and users are encouraged to submit their ideas.

• Fridays and Saturdays till midnight

Please note that the ice rink closes for maintenance during different times of the day to allow for re-surfacing; please give us a call for further information on closing times.
